GB Tyres announced a major expansion of its Oldbury warehouse and distribution operation in May 2023. The project followed growing demand across commercial vehicle, passenger car, agricultural and off-the-road tyres.
Investment in storage and distribution
The business completed the purchase of land behind its existing Oldbury warehouse in April 2023. At the time of the announcement, building work had begun on a new storage and distribution facility intended to increase capacity and support the next stage of the company’s development.
The original plans aimed to more than double the storage capacity at Oldbury. They also included new offices and customer hospitality areas, alongside refurbishment of the existing warehouse to improve the storage and logistics operation.
Supporting the trade customer experience
The development was designed to give GB Tyres more room to hold its tyre range and handle the growing volume of products moving through the business. The investment reflected the company’s aim to improve product choice and service for its customers.
Announcing the project, Managing Director Sukhi Singh described it as an opportunity to strengthen the range and service offered to customers and welcomed the prospect of bringing partners to the new site.
