AE01-S: steer axle
The AE01-S was presented with a reinforced shoulder design and a tread intended to reduce stone retention. Its role within the range was to support steering, handling and controlled shoulder wear on the steer axle.
AE01-D: drive axle
The AE01-D featured a wide tread and robust blocks, with compound development focused on durability and mileage. The original introduction also highlighted M+S and Three Peak Mountain Snowflake markings.
AE01-T: trailer axle
The trailer pattern combined a reinforced shoulder with a wear-resistant compound. The design priorities described at launch included stability, even wear and efficient running in trailer applications.
